Slade still looking up
Orient grabbed three vital points to stay in the play-off picture thanks to a 1-0 win at Carlisle and manager Russell Slade was full of praise for his depleted side.Orient took the lead against the run of play in the 37th minute when skipper Stephen Dawson fed Dean Cox inside the Carlisle half and his inch-perfect pass was drilled home by Jonathan Tehoue from the edge of the penalty area.Slade said: "That was a phenomenal effort on the grounds that we were completely patched up. To be honest we were not 100%. Carlisle were the better side in the first period and we were reduced to just a couple of chances."But in the second half we looked a real threat when we broke forward, although a second goal would have made life more comfortable for us in the dying minutes."We turned over the ball and that led to the Carlisle penalty, but Butch (Lee Butcher) did fantastically well to keep us in the game. Who knows how important that save might prove to be?"Butcher came in as a late replacement for the injured Jamie Jones and was making his first appearance since November.
