Slade happy to get through

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade insists all that matters is his side are through to the next round of the FA Cup after their extra-time replay victory over non-league Droylsden.Orient needed a goal two minutes before the final whistle to level at 2-2 and send the game into the additional period, where they ran riot, scoring six goals, to seal an 8-2 victory as both sides finished the game with nine men.Droylsden put up a valiant show in the 90 minutes and took a 2-0 lead thanks to Ciaran Kilheeney and Alex Brown. But goals from Ben Chorley and Paul-Jose M'Poku and hat-tricks for Jonathan Tehoue and Scott McGleish set up a third-round tie with Norwich in January."It is very difficult to put your finger on it. We were 15 minutes from going out of the FA Cup. Once we got that goal it gave us self belief. But it was a difficult night for us," said Slade."Clearly eight goals flattered us in lots of way, but the character was there and we kept going but unfortunately it`s becoming a regular pattern. We need to be in the ascendancy and not having to climb a mountain every week."We wanted to get through and that was the be all and end all and sometimes it doesn`t matter how you get through. Fortunately we have gone through and we`ve got a great tie at Norwich now so we can put that to bed and concentrate on the league in the next few weeks."
