Andrew Cave-Brown has penned a one-year contract with Leyton Orient after being released by Norwich City.
The 19-year-old right-back made only two first-team appearances for the Canaries before being told by boss Glenn Roeder that he was surplus to requirements at Carrow Road.
O's boss Martin Ling told the club's official website: "We've watched and played against him in the last two years and I'm pleased to have signed him as we didn't have any natural cover for Stephen Purches at right-back last season.
"He's a Scotland under-20 international and has a good pedigree as all youngsters at Norwich are brought up in the right way.
"He replaces Sam Oji in the squad and balances out the defence as Danny Granville can also play at centre-back and he'll be an excellent addition to the squad."
