O's secure Spence signing

Leyton Orient have bolstered their squad with the loan signing of West Ham United defender Jordan Spence.

The 18-year-old will be with the O's until the turn of the year, having yet to make his senior debut for the Premier League club.

Orient boss Martin Ling told the club's official website: "Jordan has come here to strengthen our centre-half position with so many games coming up.

"He will give us some breathing space in that department and will get a taste of senior experience too.

"The loan will be beneficial for both parties. He will be with us for an eight-game period and then we will assess the situation from there."
