    O's boss enjoys vital victory

    28 Jan 2009 - 11:11:06

Leyton Orient caretaker manager Kevin Nugent admitted Tuesday's 2-1 victory over high-flying MK Dons was a 'massive result'.

Teenage goalkeeper Jamie Jones saved a last-minute penalty as the O's picked up their first victory in 11 games.

"It's a fantastic result for us," Nugent told the club's official website.

"We have to realise that it's only one game, but on the back of a winless run it's massive and the players deserve all the credit they're going to get for it.

"It was a case of deja vu when they were awarded that late penalty. We lost two points late on against Southend and you thought the same was going to happen here.

"We haven't had the rub of the green this season, so we deserved that bit of luck tonight.

"It was great for Jamie too. He's only 19 and this is just his second league game, but he's a man.

"He's confident and that's what we want. We want people who have a strut and a bit of arrogance to go alongside hard work."
