Leyton Orient boss Martin Ling has dropped his interest in Michael Reddy due to doubts over the Grimsby striker's fitness.
Reddy is out of contract in the summer and Ling was considering a move for the former Sunderland hitman during the transfer window, after losing another target Luke Rodgers to Port Vale.
But with Reddy currently sidelined with a groin injury, Ling has decided against making a move.
"He is not playing at the moment because and I don't want to gamble on his fitness," he told the club's official website.
Meanwhile, the O's former loan midfielder Luke Guttridge will not be moving to Brisbane Road on a permanent transfer after expressing a desire to remain with Southend.
