Leyton Orient midfielder JJ Melligan has left the League One side by mutual consent. He featured for the O's on 97 occasions, scoring nine times after moving to the capital from Cheltenham Town in July 2007. The Dublin-born player played in 19 games this term and he made a whirlwind start scoring in his opening two games against Bristol Rovers and Colchester United. However, after discussions with team manager Geraint Williams, he has been released, allowing him to join up with another club. He has also featured for Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bournemouth, Kidderminster Harriers and Doncaster Rovers.
