Melligan finding top form

Leyton Orient winger JJ Melligan is delighted to have made a bright start to the new season, having been placed on the transfer list by the O's earlier this summer.

The 26-year-old Irishman has forced his way back into the starting eleven and is hoping to keep his rejuvenated form going in the coming months.

Melligan told the Epping Forest Guardian: "There's an awful long way to go in the season.

"I had a bad season last year and hopefully I can keep playing well and have a much better season.

"Being on the transfer list was a bit foreign to me because I've never been released from a football club. So I just thought I'd prove him Martin Ling wrong."
