Loan duo miss Rovers cup trip

Published: 06 Nov 2009 - 12:39:53

Plymouth midfielder Summerfield and Tottenham winger Townsend have not been given permission to play in the competition by their parent clubs. The O's also have a major doubt over centre-half Tamika Mkandawire, who suffered concussion and required six stitches in a head wound during last week's 2-2 draw with Southampton. Youngster Luke Ashworth is set to deputise. Adam Chambers has recovered from his calf problem only to take a knock to his back playing for the reserves which will keep him out, but fellow midfielder Sean Thornton is in contention after 10 weeks on the sidelines with a knee injury. Goalkeeper Jamie Jones is also fit after a head injury and ready to challenge Glenn Morris for the gloves.
