    Ling sees injury progress

    12 Sep 2008 - 15:40:26

Leyton Orient manager Martin Ling is finally seeing signs of his team's lengthy injury list improving.

Dean Morgan is close to a return as he continues his recovery from a foot injury while Danny Granville and Tamika Mkandawire (both groin), Wayne Gray (knee), Simon Dawkins (ankle) and Solomon Shields (ankle) are also on the comeback trail.

Ling said: "There's progression with Morgan, Mkandawire and Shields.

"Shields will be available on Saturday, Morgan will start training next week, and Tamika will do the same towards the end of next week.

"He needs to put in a few weeks of pre-season work though because of the time he's missed to get him back to his best.

"Danny Granville had a hernia operation on Wednesday, so he'll be out for 3-4 weeks and Simon Dawkins is 2-3 weeks away."
