Ling lambasts O's show

Leyton Orient boss Martin Ling aimed fire at his side after they suffered a 2-0 defeat at Northampton Town on Friday evening.

Ling felt that the O's had put on their poorest display of the season, as their promotion hopes continued to take a dive.

"It was the worst we've been all season and it made me squirm on the sidelines," Ling told the club's official website.

"I said to the players that performances like that make managers feel embarrassed.

"I can live with defeats when you can take positives, but no-one comes out with any credit here. There was nothing about us all over the pitch.

"There was no purpose to our play, no movement and it was a lack-lustre display that we need to get out of our system quickly.

"It was nowhere near the standards we've set ourselves."
