Leyton Orient manager Martin Ling's busy summer of wheeling and dealing has continued with his capture of the former Sunderland and Doncaster Rovers midfielder Sean Thornton.
Ling has revamped his squad following last term's flirtation with relegation and the 24-year-old, who has penned a two-year deal with the club, becomes his sixth summer signing.
The O's boss told the club's official website: "I'm pleased to have Sean on board. We've been looking for a creative midfielder and Sean fits the bill perfectly.
"He'll fit into our style of play and I believe we've signed a quality player.
"It means there are now eight midfield players competing for those four spots and I'm also pleased that we've tied another position up."
