Leyton Orient have snapped up Southend United forward Gary Hooper on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old had only joined the Shrimpers at the start of the season from Conference outfit Grays Athletic, but has found first-team opportunities limited at Roots Hall.
Blues boss Steve Tilson told the club's official website: "Gary's a good young player, but he needs games to gain experience so a move to Orient is good for him and us.
"We'll see how he gets on, his contract is up in the summer and we will have to make a decision about his future."
Hooper has made just four starts for Southend, with a further 20 outings coming from the substitutes bench, netting four goals for the Championship strugglers.
