    Ankle problems rock Boyd

    20 Feb 2009 - 11:27:25

Leyton Orient striker Adam Boyd could be out for over a month after damaging his ankle 25 minutes into the 1-0 win over Crewe last weekend.

The nine-goal top scorer suffered ankle ligament damage and is likely to miss all but the last eight games of the league campaign, putting pressure on Scott McGleish, Dean Morgan, Wayne Gray and Simon Church.

"It's very disappointing for Adam as obviously he wanted to get back in the side and start scoring goals again," O's manager Geraint Williams said.

"But Reading have let us bring young Simon Church in on loan and he's an exciting young prospect.

"So while we're disappointed to lose Adam for a while, we're excited about getting Simon on board."
