Williams: Mistakes proved cotly
Pawel Abbott's double, either side of a strike from Ryan Jarvis, consigned Orient to their first League One defeat of the season.
Williams said: "It was stop-start stuff and we were knocking 50 and 60-yard balls aimlessly forward. That is not the way we played pre-season. It's not how we started the season.
"But you have got to give Oldham some credit. They made it difficult. They hassled and made sure we were always under pressure on the ball. But we made too many bad decisions and too many bad errors and that has cost us three points.
"We bounced back with a goal from Ryan Jarvis and thought we could build upon it in the second half but we never really played any good football. We seemed a bit nervy and the ball went from back to
front far too quickly.
"We have to rest up and come back here and get a win against Charlton on Tuesday."
