Williams delighted by new capture
The Barnet-born frontman, who has scored over 200 career goals, has agreed a one-year deal at Brisbane Road following his release by Wycombe at the end of the season.
McGleish, 35, spent the final three months of the 2008/09 season on loan at Orient and was instrumental in securing the Os' mid-table finish.
Williams told the Ilford Recorder: "I'm delighted that Scott is going to sign. He was a big influence in the team and in the dressing room last season.
"I knew Scott from my time at Colchester and felt he was the type of player we needed when I came to the club. He certainly didn't let anyone down and he fully deserved his contract offer."
Meanwhile, Andy Edwards has become the club's new youth team manager and signed a a two-year contract.
