Slade: Win was massive

16 October 2010 20:02
Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade hailed his side's 1-0 home win over Hartlepool which lifted them out of the npower League One relegation zone. With just a minute of normal time remaining, substitute Jonathan Tehoue pounced from close range after the visitors had failed to clear a corner. "This was a big, big win for us," said Slade. "It wasn't a classic game but we knew it wouldn't be because if you look at their record, they've got four clean sheets out of five games. "We respect that, we knew it would be tight, nip and tuck, and it was. "To be fair to Hartlepool, they even took the game to us for a 15-minutes spell in the second-half, so I did something about it and made two substitutions. You look to your substitutes to make an impact and that's exactly what they did. Jonathan Tehoue was in the right place at the right time to score the vital goal."
