Slade - We should have won

Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade thought the best team lost at Huish Park, despite admitting his side were not at their best during the 2-1 defeat to Yeovil. Slade, who managed the Glovers from June 2006 to February 2009, saw his side fall behind to Dean Bowditch`s 12th-minute goal. The O's battled back and were always dangerous on the break, so it was no surprise when they equalised four minutes before the break. Stephen Dawson and Dean Cox did well down the left and a pinpoint cross from the latter was headed in at close range by Alex Revell. But in first-half stoppage time Yeovil regained the lead as Orient keeper Jamie Jones fumbled a tame right-wing cross by Andy Williams and Luke Freeman scrambled in. "I'm bitterly disappointed with the result. I do think the best team lost," said Slade. "We didn't play our best for 20 minutes but then we settled down to dominate and it didn't surprise me that we equalised. "But we gave a goal away just before the break and that was something for Yeovil to hold on to. We had good possession in the second half and several chances to get an equaliser but it never materialised. We are better than that."
