Slade takes positives

Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade was satisfied with his side's display during the 0-0 draw with Walsall and the progress they have made after a tough start to the season. Keeper Jamie Jones made a crucial first-half tip-over from Oliver Lancashire and his Walsall counterpart Jon Brain denied Matthew Spring in an uneventful game at Brisbane Road. Slade said: "When you look at the two games and include Friday's with Brentford, we would probably have taken four points from the six, although we are always in search of maximum points. "We probably did not achieve four points in the style we would have wanted to. "In the first half you must credit Walsall as they made life difficult for us. We huffed and puffed in the first period. In the second half we had chances. The first goal was key. We didn't manage to get it, and if we could have scored I think we could have been talking a different story. "One of the positives has been two clean sheets from these games. Two clean sheets on the bounce give you every chance of picking up points. Although it is not the maximum we desired, it is better than nothing."
