Slade smiling after derby success

Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade felt his side's recent performances were finally rewarded after the 1-0 win over Brentford. Scott McGleish's third goal of the season lifted Orient off the foot of the League One table. "We are really pleased with that, because we have worked really hard over recent weeks without reward in terms of points, despite some good performances," said Slade. "I thought we were really plucky in the second half and deserved the points. To be honest, I thought we should have been more than one goal up at half-time. "We are pleased to be off the bottom of the table, but it is a very tight league. It is early days, and I think people get carried away looking at league tables to be honest. "We have another home game on Tuesday, so if you want to look at league tables then, we could be halfway up with a win."
