Slade sings keeper's praises

Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade singled out Jamie Jones for praise after the goalkeeper helped secure a 1-1 draw at Southampton. The 21-year-old former Everton trainee kept the visitors in the game after Terrell Forbes had cancelled out Rickie Lambert's opener for the pre-season title favourites. "He made four great saves," said Slade. "He's still learning his trade but has great potential. "He's not had an awful lot to do in the previous three games but certainly earned his wages today. "Overall, we were thrilled with a point. They came at us having been `caged up' through not playing for 11 days and, to be honest, we could have been 2-0 down inside the first 15 minutes. "But when they did score, we clawed it back quickly and took some of the venom out of them."
