Slade: Season still alive

Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade hailed "a massive win" following a dramatic 2-1 triumph over Peterborough which kept alive his side`s play-off hopes. Substitute Ryan Jarvis gave Orient all three points with a last-gasp strike just as the game looked to be heading for a 1-1 draw thanks to a Gabriel Zakuani own goal and Posh substitute Nathaniel Mendez-Laing`s headed leveller. Slade said: "It's a massive win for us because it keeps our season alive. I didn't think we were going to get the three points because there were two teams on that pitch who really battled hard in very hot conditions. I wouldn't have fancied being out there myself to be honest. "We kept going and probably the performance typified the spirit and the attitude of the football club. I'm talking the whole football club, the fans, the players and everyone here. "Jarvy [Ryan Jarvis] picked up a bit of a knock in a reserve team game during the week and we couldn't give him too much time on the pitch because he might have seized up. But to be fair, he looked anything but seized up when he went up for the header, did he? "I'm really pleased for him because he's a really nice lad. For him to come on and play his part is terrific for him. Our goalkeeper Jamie Jones pulled off a couple of good saves. I thought his concentration was excellent and as team, generally, we defended well."
