Slade hopes to rock on

Manager Russell Slade hopes the Carling Cup first-round win over Swindon will kick-start Leyton Orient`s season. Ryan Jarvis cancelled out Jon-Paul McGovern`s first-half opener for the Robins before Alex Revell returned to haunt his former club by netting the winning goal. Slade, whose side started the season with a 2-1 defeat at Yeovil and resume their League One campaign at home to Charlton on Saturday, said: "It is always nice to get your first win of the season and that sets up nicely for the weekend. "I am delighted to be in the next round and to get there by coming back from a goal down away from home against a team like Swindon is terrific. "I don't care who we draw in the next round. If it is a team from a higher division I am sure my lads will rise to the challenge." Summer signing Revell was on the scoresheet again and Slade added: "It was a great strike and he is already proving to be a tremendous addition to the squad. That is two in two goals for him now and hopefully there are many more to come between now and the end of the season."
