Slade hails perfect response

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade hailed his side`s 2-0 home win over Notts County as the "perfect response" to their FA Cup exit at Arsenal in midweek. Goals from Dean Cox and Andrew Whing stretched Orient's unbeaten league run to 11 games and eased the pain of their 5-0 defeat to the Gunners. "It was the perfect response," said Slade. "I thought that we dominated long periods of the game and the only travesty about the first half was that we weren't more than one goal in front. "I thought we created a lot of really, really good chances and played a lot of attractive football at times. "We played a lot of one-touch and two-touch stuff on a not too clever pitch and I was pleased for my team because they were brave enough to go out and do that. "We scored a very well-worked first goal and I'm delighted for Andrew Whing that he scored our second because he doesn't score very often. At the moment, he's absolutely buzzing."
