Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade declared their season had finally begun after they beat Exeter 3-0 for their first league win. Alex Revell, Scott McGleish and Dean Cox were on target to get the . Slade said: "This football club is officially open. "We have waited two or three weeks and sometimes things take a bit longer than they are scheduled for. We were scheduled for August 7. But we have arrived. It was worth the wait and I am delighted we got the three points. "We showed what we are capable of. We have had one or two difficult fixtures admittedly. The only disappointing thing about the first period, to be honest, was that we were not more goals in front to take the pressure off. Because, fair play to Exeter, they were battered in the first half but for 15 minutes in the second they did try to come back at us. "I do remember a terrific tackle by Terrell Forbes which kept the score at 1-0. A few minutes later it was 2-0 and effectively game over."
