Os thump ragged Rovers

Leyton Orient cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over 10-man Bristol Rovers. Dean Cox fired the visitors in front with a far-post finish after 20 minutes, and seven minutes later Alex Revell doubled the advantage with a close-range header. Rovers full-back Carl Regan was sent off after 34 minutes for a dangerous tackle on Stephen Dawson and Revell completed the home side's misery five minutes after the break, shooting in from six yards. To make matters worse for Rovers they lost striker John Akinde through injury in the second half and were booed off by their supporters both at half-time and at the end. Orient could have scored more goals, Revell volleying wide after 76 minutes with a great chance to complete his hat-trick. Cox was just off target with a late free-kick and it was a quiet afternoon for Orient goalkeeper Lee Butcher, who barely had a save to make.
