Chairman Barry Hearn had been in discussions with a consortium, headed by Terry Byrne, regarding his shareholding in the club.[LNB]Orient, who have appointed Geraint Williams as their new manager, saw negotiations with the potential new owners ground to a halt after both parties failed to reach an agreement over terms.[LNB]Prior to the talks ceasing, the club revealed Hearn would be willing to sell his shareholding to help the Brisbane Road outfit overturn their fortunes on and off the pitch.[LNB]Chief executive Matthew Porter told the club's official website: "The chairman has made no secret of the fact he would be prepared to discuss the sale of his shareholding in the football club with any party who he believed would be in a position to take the club forward and provide extra investment in the team and infrastructure."[LNB]Meanwhile, Aiden Palmer has not ruled out making his loan move to Dagenham permanent. He told the Ilford Recorder: "I've been at Orient since I was nine. I'm 22 now so I think a change is best for me. The boys at Dagenham are different class."[LNB][LNB]
