Orient part company with Williams

Orient boss Geraint Williams has lost his job as chairman Barry Hearn acted swiftly after a home defeat to fellow League One strugglers Hartlepool.The 48-year-old Welshman exit's came after a 3-1 home loss left the O's just a point above the relegation zone. [LNB]"The performance against Hartlepool was abysmal," Hearn told the Leyton Orient website. "Ultimately the responsibility lies with the manager. [LNB]"The decision has been taken to give us the best chance to stay in League One." [LNB]Orient have won just once in their last 11 games. [LNB]"Geraint is as honest and professional a manager as you will find in football and it's unfortunate things have not worked out, but I thank him for his efforts and I wish him every success in the future," added Hearn.
