Orient opt against Melligan appeal
The 27-year-old was sent off for a challenge on Canaries midfielder Adam Drury in the second half of the 4-0 defeat.
Williams said afterwards: "Clearly that was an important moment because the score was 0-0 before it happened and we ended up losing the game 4-0.
"We'll have a look at it and hopefully we can get it overturned."
But the club have decided not to contest the decision and Melligan will serve a three-match ban, starting with Saturday's trip to Wycombe.
