Orient fans' groups launch Olympic Stadium petition

Leyton Orient's two main fans groups have jointly launched a petition urging the Government to revoke its decision to hand London's Olympic Stadium to West Ham after the 2012 games. Leyton Orient Supporters' Club (LOSC) and Leyton Orient Fans' Trust (LOFT) believe the move would have a detrimental impact on their club and are rallying support. Os chairman Barry Hearn has threatened legal action to try and block the plan. A LOSC and LOFT statement said: "It is clear this move would have a massively detrimental effect on Leyton Orient - affecting the club's ability to attract future fans, keep the award-winning community programme going, and attract sufficient commercial and ticket revenue to keep the club a viable entity. "The petition calls on the mayor of London and the Government to review the decision to allow West Ham to use the stadium. "It is hosted, on behalf of LOSC and LOFT, by the Football Supporters' Federation - both LOSC and LOFT are affiliate members of the Football Supporters' Federation. Please make sure you sign the petition as soon as you can."
