Demetriou serves a one-match ban after collecting his fifth booking of the season in midweek and fellow midfielder Melligan sits out the last of his three-game suspension. Williams' small squad has also been hit by injuries with skipper Stephen Purches (cheekbone) and midfielders Adam Chambers (calf) and Sean Thornton (knee) on the sidelines. Adrian Patulea pushed his claims for a place with the winner in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy against Brighton on Tuesday night, a match in which Williams also handed rare starts to Luke Ashworth, Loick Pires and Harry Baker. Scott McGleish, Ben Chorley, Luke Summerfield and Andros Townsend will expect to come back in against the U's.
