Orient broke the deadlock after 57 minutes when midfielder Adam Chambers pounced on a loose ball and found Southend's bottom corner with a drive from just inside the penalty area.[LNB]But Southend were soon level through captain Adam Barrett, before Alan McCormack netted the winner 18 minutes from time.[LNB]Williams said: "That is where we deserve to be because we have not picked up enough points of late. The Christmas period has been an encapsulation of our season. Some good things happened but at the end we are coming up short.[LNB]"We have talked about our failure to hold on to leads but talk does not get the job done. We had decided that when we get in front we will drop the ball into the corner for five or 10 minutes and settle things down.[LNB]"We have gone and got the goal in a tough, tight game of not many chances at either end. We have got ourselves in front, but within minutes we have let them back in with a soft goal. It is the first time we have been in the bottom four this season. Hopefully, it will give us a kick in the pants and we will get our house in order."[LNB][LNB]
