Connor Essam in fitness fight for Leyton Orient

Leyton Orient defender Connor Essam is struggling to be fit for Saturday's FA Cup first-round match at home to Staines Town.

Essam came off with a foot injury during the defeat to Accrington last weekend and is a doubt for the tie at Brisbane Road.

Bradley Pritchard will definitely miss out as he serves a one-match ban for collecting five yellow cards, as will full-back Adam Chicksen, who has returned to Brighton after completing his loan spell.

Paul McCallum is a long-term absentee with a knee injury, while Henry Lee has been recalled from his loan spell at Welling and could be involved.

Veteran Staines Town defender Darren Purse is in line to return against his former club after being troubled by a knee injury this season.

Purse, who began his senior career at Brisbane Road in 1994, came off the substitutes' bench last weekend and could bit fit to start with fellow central defender Joe O'Cearuill (leg) a major doubt.

Defender Mitchal Gough and midfielder Ashley Lodge are both fit to play after being left out last Saturday as a precaution.

Striker Prince M'bengui is suspended with either Jack Hutchinson or Michael Kalu set to partner Pat Cox up front.
