Lisbie set for O's return

Kevin Lisbie should return to the Leyton Orient squad for the visit of Peterborough.

The veteran striker, who has scored 13 goals this season, missed last Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Rotherham due to a groin problem.

But Lisbie has had an injection to speed up his recovery and could resume his partnership with 16-goal top scorer David Mooney, who is pushing for a start having made two substitute appearances following a month out with a foot injury.

Shaun Batt (hamstring) is still out while youngster Shaquile Coulthirst has returned to Tottenham at the end of his month-long loan spell.

Peterborough hope leading scorer Britt Assombalonga will be available.

Assombalonga was forced off with a facial injury against Swindon in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Wednesday night. The 22-goal striker was struggling to see out of one eye but the Posh medical team will work to reduce the swelling ahead of Saturday's trip to Brisbane Road. Fellow strikers Nicky Ajose and Conor Washington were both cup-tied in midweek and come back into the reckoning.

Centre-back Jack Baldwin, a deadline-day signing from Hartlepool, will have to wait for his Peterborough debut as he is suspended after collecting his 10th yellow card of the season during his last appearance for the Sky Bet League Two club.

Ricardo Santos was signed this week by Posh boss Darren Ferguson but it remains to be seen whether the teenage defender will be involved at Orient.
