Paul McCallum pushing for Leyton Orient starting berth against Exeter

Paul McCallum may have played himself into the Leyton Orient side for the visit of fellow Sky Bet League Two strugglers Exeter.

The former West Ham striker came off the bench to score against Blackpool on Saturday, but it was not enough to prevent a 2-1 defeat.

Jens Janse is out with a shoulder injury, Harry Cornick is struggling with a groin strain and Liam Kelly has not yet recovered from a hamstring problem.

Midfielder Ulrich Nnomo is nearing a return after an ankle injury.

Exeter will assess Troy Brown and Lee Homes as the Grecians attempt to escape bottom place.

Defender Brown made his first appearance since the start of September when he came on for the final 13 minutes of Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Carlisle.

Brown has been troubled by a hip injury while midfielder Holmes was knocked unconscious after colliding with Carlisle's Jamie Dervitt.

Robbie Simpson could return to the Grecians' attack, but long-term absentees Troy Archibald-Henville and Jordan Tillson are likely to be missing again.
