Clarke could miss out for O's

Leyton Orient are likely to be without the services of defender Nathan Clarke when they host Coventry in the Capital One Cup.

Clarke was forced off after 30 minutes of Saturday's 5-1 win at Carlisle after suffering a head injury in a clash with Lee Miller which saw the Carlisle forward sent off. He went to hospital but travelled back on the team coach.

Elliot Omozusi replaced him on the day and could deputise from the start, while De'Reece Vanderhyde offers further options at the back.

O's boss Russell Slade is expected to shuffle his pack further and could include midfielders Dean Cox and Burnley loanee Marvin Bartley in his starting line-up.

Coventry will travel with a fully-fit squad.

Midfielder Conor Thomas and defender Jordan Willis both picked up knocks during Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Crawley but are expected to be okay.

Manager Steven Pressley has options should he wish to change around his starting line-up, with midfielder Adam Barton one of those leading the chase for a starting berth.

However, a raft of changes are unlikely as the Sky Blues chase a morale-boosting victory for the crisis club.
