Lancashire denies 10-man O's

Olly Lancashire scored an equaliser in added time as Walsall earned a 1-1 draw at Leyton Orient.

It was rough justice for the home side who had defended stoutly after Solomon Taiwo had been controversially sent off six minutes before half-time.

The O's had taken the lead after 34 minutes after a long kick by goalkeeper Marek Stech was flicked on by Jonathan Tehoue to Kevin Lisbie, who tangled with Saddlers keeper David Grsf.

The ball rolled to Dean Cox who was presented with a simple chance to record his eighth goal of the season.

The O's delight was tempered five minutes later when referee Andy D'Urso, adjudged Taiwo, who had replaced injured Ryan Dickson, guilty of a two-footed tackle on Florent Cuvelier and immediately showed the redcard to the Orient midfielder.

Orient had chances to settle the issue effectively but Jimmy Smith and Lisbie squandered opportunities and they paid the price when Lancashire rose highest in a crowded goalmouth to meet a Richard Taundry corner to score with a last-gasp header.
