Last-gasp Tehoue stuns Pools

16 October 2010 18:31
Jonathan Tehoue stepped off the substitutes bench to earn Leyton Orient a 1-0 victory against Hartlepool. With just a minute of normal time remaining in a poor match, Frenchman Tehoue pounced from close range to move Orient out of the relegation zone after the visitors had failed to clear a Charlie Daniels corner. The first half was a poor advert for League One with both teams guilty of a host of poor passes and lack of incisiveness up front. The introduction of Orient substitute Paul-Jose Mpoku, who came on along with Tehoue after 56 minutes, livened up the home side with Belgium Under-19 captain Mpoku causing the visitors problems with his delicate skills. It was Mpoku, on loan from Tottenham, who forced a corner which Daniels delivered and Tehoue struck to secure three precious points.
