Orient manager Russell Slade has added a full-time fitness and conditioning coach to his backrrom staff. Kirk Bowyer, 27, linked up with Slade and his coaching team in time for the start of pre-season training. Slade said: "The lack of a fitness coach was something we wanted to address so I'm delighted to welcome Kirk here. "It's an important part of a football club and he will allow us to monitor and measure the players' fitness as well as strengthen them efficiently. Kirk will play a vital role as a member of our backroom team." Bowyer, a graduate of St Mary's University in Twickenham, previously worked as lead strength and conditioning coach at the Lawn Tennis Association.
