Demetriou hails new O's chief

Demetriou bagged the winner in Saturday's 2-1 win over Oldham to secure a sixth win in nine games under Williams, who replaced Martin Ling at the start of February with Orient in grave danger of being relegated. And Demetriou has credited the former Colchester boss for overseeing a huge upturn in the club's fortunes. "He (Williams) has made a massive difference," the 21-year-old midfielder told his club's official website. "Obviously everyone comes in with new structures, and although I've got the utmost respect for Martin Ling, because he was the one who gave me the chance in football, this man just came in and turned the whole club around. "It looked like we were going down, we couldn't win a game, so all credit to him and the boys."
