Leigh RMI have made a double move into the transfer market, as new boss Mark Patterson begins to make his mark at Hilton Park.
Patterson had previously brought in striker Danny Bent on loan from Doncaster Rovers and has now added another new duo, after missing out on the Southport-bound Paul Wheatcroft.
The first new face is midfielder Chris Dawson, a 23-year-old who had previously been on the books of Bolton Wanderers, without breaking into the first-team picture.
The second new arrival is keeper Gavin Bates, who will act as back-up to Stuart Coburn, after returning from a coaching stint in the USA.
Patterson is also hoping to add a third new player in the near future and also has striker Dino Maamria available again after a leg injury, the Tunisian had notched 11 Conference goals before being ruled out in mid-December.
