Weale salutes defensive effort

Chris Weale heralded the importance of his side's defence after their 2-1 win at Blackpool.The goalkeeper was one of the stand-out performers as City moved back into the play-off picture, but he was eager to share the plaudits with his defensive colleagues."I thought the back four were outstanding and the whole team as well," he told his club's official website."It was a good result and we got the win we needed. It is a tough place to go to, they played some good football so it was a good three points for us."He added: "I am disappointed as the goalkeeper because we want to keep clean sheets but that is the way it goes, you can't save everything."
