Bournemouth loanee Max Gradel has returned to France following the tragic death of his mother.
The 20-year-old Leicester City winger joined the Cherries at the beginning of the season and has scored three times in 11 games for the League One strugglers, including a brace in Saturday's 4-1 victory at Crewe Alexandra.
Bournemouth boss Kevin Bond told the club's official website: "Football pales into insignificance when a tragedy like this occurs.
"He's only a young lad and this will come as a massive blow to him. You need to be surrounded by family and people you can lean on and support you at this sort of time.
"We understand his situation and will give him all the time he needs before he's ready to put on a pair of football boots again."
