Former Newcastle United star Nolberto Solano has agreed a deal with Leicester City that will keep him at the Walkers Stadium until the end of the season.
The 35-year-old Peru international's last appearance in England came in May 2008 when he played for West Ham United in their 2-2 draw with another of his former teams, Aston Villa.
Meanwhile, Foxes midfielder Max Gradel has handed in a transfer request.
The 22-year-old, who recently returned to the club after a loan spell at Leeds United, has started only one game for Nigel Pearson's side this season.
He made 27 League One appearances last term as City secured promotion but has failed to make the grade at the higher level.
