Pearson targets top-flight return
The Foxes are seventh in the table, only outside the play-off places on goal difference and just four points adrift of the automatic promotion spots. Pearson has been using the international break to assess his side's progress and admitted he is satisfied by their achievements so far. But he has reminded his players that the ultimate goal remains getting the club back into the Premier League. "We have come a long way in a relatively short space of time, and that is pleasing" said Pearson. "I know there have been a lot of changes at the club but I think, like anything, it is getting the balance right between meeting the expectations in the short-term which, of course, is winning matches, and having a bigger picture, which has to be getting back into the Premier League. "It is never easy but that is what we are trying to do. In terms of being a manager it is about getting results week-in and week-out. That is how I will eventually be judged, just like every other manager. "If you lose enough games then you don't survive, but I don't think that should stop you from having an eye on the bigger picture."
