Pearson satisfied with point
17 Feb 2010 - 14:33:05
Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has expressed his satisfaction at grabbing a dramatic last-gasp leveller at Bristol City on Tuesday night.
The Championship pair eventually played out a 1-1 draw with Lloyd Dyer firing home an stoppage-time equaliser for the Foxes.
The hosts had taken the lead just moments earlier thanks to David Clarkson and the Robins looked set to take all three points. However, Dyer's timely intervention ensured the visitors returned north with a point.
Speaking after the game, Pearson said: "I thought we played well and it would have been a travesty had we had come away without something.
"To get a late equaliser is satisfying but, of course, it was disappointing to concede the goal as well.
"We created a lot of chances and I don't think anyone could have had any complaints had we been two or three goals to the good at half-time, but that is the difference."
