Pearson retains Foxes belief

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson remains confident that his side are on course to seal an immediate return to the Championship.

The Foxes have taken just two points from their last three games and were held to a 2-2 draw at home by lowly Carlisle United at the weekend.

However, Pearson told the Leicester Mercury: "Other sides are having better runs than us.

"But I still think we have a very good squad and I am very, very confident they will see the job through.

"We are still in a very good position and still up there to be shot at. We have been since day one of the season."

Meanwhile, the Foxes have extended the loan stay of Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has featured three times for City since his arrival from the Cottagers.
