Pearson happy with squad strength
Pearson is waiting on the results of a scan on Wellens, who could face a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. Wellens was substituted with his side leading 2-0 at Watford on Saturday but Leicester collapsed following his exit, conceding three goals in 20 minutes and needing a injury-time equaliser from Dany N'Guessan to salvage a draw. "Obviously, you can make the assumption that losing him did have something to do with it, but we have to be able to deal with losing players, as we have done already this season," said Pearson. "We lost Steve (Howard) in the game at Sheffield United. On that occasion we dealt with losing one of our starting XI very well. At Watford we didn't really do it. Whether it was a contributing factor I don't know, but it would be very easy to make that assumption. "But I know we have enough depth to be able to deal with those situations." On Wellens' injury Pearson added: "He has come off with a hamstring problem but how severe it is, or whether it is a neuro thing, we don't know at the moment."
