Oakley expects Foxes progress

Leicester City captain Matty Oakley believes that his club can build quickly on their promotion back to the Championship as League One champions.

The 31-year-old midfielder was a key figure in the Foxes' success this season and wants to see further progress made next term.

He told the Leicester Mercury: "We can take a lot into next season and the fans can look forward to it as we have a good, winning team.

"The manager and the chairman will strengthen the squad and who knows how far we can go?

"They have to strengthen, because this is a young team and it is important that we bring in the right type of characters to help them.

"The youngsters want to do well and there are no bad eggs in the squad, so we can move forward together."
