New Foxes deal for Chambers

Leicester City teenager Ashley Chambers has signed a two-year extension to his current contract to keep him at the Walkers Stadium until the end of the 2010-11 campaign.

The 18-year-old striker, who is a product of the club's Academy system, made his first-team debut more than three years ago - in the Carling Cup win against Blackpool - to become the youngest ever Foxes player.

Manager Nigel Pearson said: "Ashley's another promising young player who has been a little unlucky with injuries.

"But he's got that hunger and application to succeed and is certainly a player who is only going to continue to go from strength to strength."
